Payne Education Center, an Oklahoma City-based nonprofit teacher training and dyslexia advocacy center, announced that its summer training course schedule is now finalized and open for online registrations.

Each year, Payne hosts over two dozen professional development courses focused on reading instruction for Pre-K through 6th grade teachers. In addition to learning how to implement discovery-based multisensory methods of learning, proven successful in teaching all learners to successfully read, write and spell, teachers who receive Payne’s specialized training learn to clearly recognize potential reading problems in their students at a young age, and they are trained to provide a strong, successful reading remediation solution.

Payne’s scientifically based teaching methods can help children overcome their reading difficulties and improve the lives of the 15-20% of the population who has the language-based learning disability of dyslexia which affects their ability to successfully develop strong reading skills. Since 1984, Payne has trained more than 18,000 teachers.
